Katherine Sue Frederick

ABBEVILLE - Funeral services officiated by Deacon William "Billy" Vincent will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, honoring the life of Katherine Sue Frederick, 77, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary is being prayed at 1:45 PM.

She was the devoted wife of 57 years to Donald Lynn, the cherished and loving mother of three daughters, and the adored Grammy to four grandchildren who were the light of her life. With a loving heart, she tenderly cared for her aging grandparents, parents, and mother-in-law through their final days, always placing family above all. A friend to many, even numerous, animals whom she helped over the years. For 33 years, she shaped young minds as a beloved educator, leaving a legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love that will live on in all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Frederick; daughters, Christine Duhon and her husband, Greg, Katie Lege and her husband, Chase, and Donna Frederick; four grandchildren, Nicholas Duhon, Cameron Duhon, Manning Lege, and Maddux Lege; and one brother, Christopher Dupuy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Marjorie Dupuy.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Abbeville General Hospital and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
