Kenny D. Leger

June 27, 1963 — April 24, 2025

Kaplan

Kaplan, Louisiana- A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Mark Miley will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 28, 2025 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Kenny Dale Leger, 61, who passed away on April 24, 2025 at his residence.

Kenny was a devoted husband, a loving dad, and a cherished Paw, who left this world surrounded by the love he spent a lifetime giving. He had a gift for fixing things, whether it was a leaky faucet, a broken lawn mower, or a complete kitchen renovation. With strong hands and a gentle spirit, he was always there when you needed him, never asking for much in return but giving more than anyone ever expected.

He was a man who loved deeply and lived simply - happiest with his family close by, a project in the garage, a story to tell, and a cold BudLight. Kenny's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless things he repaired. Kenny leaves behind a family and many friends that will miss him more than words can say, but who are better for having known him, learned from him, and been loved by him. We'll hold onto his memory, his stories, and all the things he taught us.

The visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM. The visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 1:30 PM. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lance LeBeouf, Steve Leger, Toby Stelly, Todd Broussard, Todd "Floyd" Broussard, Troy Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaxson Lege, Rustin Menard, Brennon Broussard, and Stan Suire.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Shannon Broussard Leger of Kaplan; two daughters, Shelbee Leger (Lance LeBeouf) and Karlee Leger both of Kaplan; one grandson, Jaxson Lege of Kaplan; two brothers, Steve Leger (Becky) of Duson and Johnathan Leger of Ragley; two sisters, Carla Boudreaux of Duson and Danielle Stelly (Toby) of Kaplan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Leger and the former Elaine Zaunbrecher; his brother, Alan Jude Leger; and in-laws, Merlin Broussard, Betty Mire Broussard and Hodges LeBlanc.
