Kaplan — Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Leroy Guidry, 72, who died Friday, September 8, 2017 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Leah Ayres Guidry; three sons, John O. Guidry and his fiancée, Charisse Matte, of Church Point, Jerry J. Guidry and his fiancée, Doddie Lange, of Kaplan, and Joe Dale Guidry and his wife, Sissy, of Bentley; a daughter, Andrea K. Hernandez and her husband, Miguel, of Kaplan; ten grandchildren, Hailey Trahan and her husband, Marcus, Tate Guidry, Jaron Guidry, Leah Guidry, Taylor Lange, Taylor Comeaux, and Lucy A. Hernandez, Ryan Randall, Randy Randall, and Briana Crenshaw; and three great grandchildren, Thomas Oneil Guidry, Kenna Jade, and Ayden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oneil Guidry and the former Lucy Mae Harrington; two brothers, Raywood Guidry and Rixby Guidry; and a daughter-in-law, Bridget Hebert Guidry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Sunday, September 10, 2017, from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM; Monday, September 11, 2017, from 8:00 AM until services.
