Loison Joseph Vincent Jr.

ABBEVILLE - Funeral services officiated by Deacon William "Billy" Vincent will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, honoring the life of Loison Joseph Vincent, Jr., 81, who passed away on February 23, 2026, at his residence. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kelby Henry, Steven Comeaux, James LeBlanc, Austin Landry, Laxcy Vincent, Jr., and Matthew LeBlanc.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 9:30 AM until the time of services.

Loison was a man of many interests and passions. He took great pleasure in hunting, fishing, and archery, often spending time outdoors and enjoying the beauty of nature. He was also an enthusiastic golfer and frequent visitor to the casino, where he found enjoyment and camaraderie. His love for Western movies and football was well-known among his family and friends, and he was often seen tending to his garden, showcasing his nurturing spirit, and preparing delicious meals for loved ones.

He is survived by his daughters, Daleen Vincent, Darla Vincent Comeaux and husband Steven Michael Comeaux, and Mandy Vincent and her husband James LeBlanc; step-daughter, Gladys Bumgardner and her husband Ronnie; grandchildren, Kelby Henry, Christian Theriot, Courtney Theriot, Samuel Theriot, Luke Theriot, Austin Landry, Matthew LeBlanc, Emily LeBlanc, Cherida Braly Parrish, Shelly Schexneider, Ronnie Braly, Donnie Braly, Billy Braly, and Buddy Braly; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy V. Comeaux.; and sister-in-law, Susan Vincent.

He was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Edna "Mi Mi" Joan Schultz; father, Loison Joseph Vincent, Sr.; mother, Yolande Picard; stepmother, Ethel Vincent; and brothers, Clarence “CJ” Vincent and Laxcy J. Vincent, Sr.
