Lona Mae Richard

Funeral services officiated by Deacon William "Billy" Vincent will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 24, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan honoring the life of Lona Mae Richard, 82, who passed away on April 22, 2026. She will be laid to rest at St. David Chapel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Richard, Rayne Richard, Trevor M. Mladenka, Seth Richard, Kyle Richard and Alfred "PeeWee" Adams Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Broussard, Chris Mathews and Nicholas Mathews. 

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. The visitation will continue Friday, April 24, 2026, from 8:00 AM until the services at 11:00 AM. 

She is survived by her three sons, Gerald and his partner Robert Fritz, Tony Richard (Chris) and Gregg Richard (Shelly); two daughters, Anne Richard (Shane) and Renee Richard; one brother, Alfred Adams Jr. (Tamela) one sister, Denise Adams; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Curlis Richard; parents Alfred and Inez Adams; and two granddaughters, Brooke Richard and Casey Miranda Richard.
