Martha Jane Cannella

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Martha Jane Cannella, 65, who died Monday, October 10, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital.

She was indeed a delightful woman, and we will miss her dearly.  In the words of Martha “A stranger is a friend to be made”.

Martha is survived by her husband, Charles Cannella; step-son, Kyle Cannella of Abbeville; step-daughter, Jennifer Mire of Abbeville; brother, Sherman Callaway, Jr. of Thibodaux; three sisters, Lynn Madison (Alfred) of Ohio, Georgia Fehnel (Ricky) of Abbeville, and Jodi Gaubert (Greg) of Thibodaux; three step-grandchildren, Gabrial Cannella, Jacob Cannella and Bryan Cannella; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman Callaway and the former Betty Hudson; brother, Perry Callaway; and sister, Carolyn Sue Clostio.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM; Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
