Naomie Broussard Trahan

ABBEVILLE—Funeral services honoring the life of Naomie Broussard Trahan, 93, will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, with Deacon William “Billy” Vincent officiating. Naomie passed away on August 8, 2026, and will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wilsie “T Boy” Connor, Brody Connor, Christopher Trahan, Cade Perry, Evan Guidry, Brayden “Pop” Spates, Jeremy Richard, and Mya Perry.

Visitation will be held at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the service time. A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 PM.

A lifelong resident of Abbeville, Louisiana, Naomie devoted her life to caring for others as a private sitter in home health, offering compassion, companionship, and kindness to the elderly.

Naomie will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and love of life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, sipping coffee, and listening to Classic Country music on Saturday nights. Her fondness for wine, eclectic taste in music, and joyful laughter brought warmth and happiness to her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Louis D. Trahan, Jr. and his wife Danette; two daughters, Peggy Hargrave, and Sue Ellen T. Connor and her husband Wilsie “T Boy”; grandchildren, Christopher Trahan, Evan Guidry, Megan Richard, Brody Connor, Gabrielle Garrido, and Mya Perry; and great-grandchildren, Van, Claire, Kaz, Sarah, Andrew, Kaylynn, Keith, Bowie, Vaeya, and Kai.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis D. Trahan, Sr.; daughter, Connie Trahan Cessac; father, Nelson Broussard, Sr.; mother, Aglae’ Faulk Broussard; ten siblings; and son-in-law, Daniel Hargrave.
