Nella Joy Dugas Bergeron

ABBEVILLE — A private memorial service will be held at a later date honoring the life of Nella Joy Dugas Bergeron, 88, who died Monday, May 10, 2021 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Knox Bergeron; two sons, William R. Phillips, Jr. of Lafayette, and Clayton Phillips of Lafayette; five daughters, Dianne Phillips Clark of Abbeville, Melane Phillips Crawford of Houston, TX, Mary Phillips Menesses of Independence, KS, Christine Bergeron Hains of Longmont, CO, and Tiffany Bergeron Hardy of Suffolk, VA; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Arthur Dugas, Sr.; mother, Sidonia B. Renfro; step-father, A.E. Renfro, Sr.; brothers, Louis Dugas, Jr., and Earl F. Renfro; step-brother, A.E. Renfro, Jr.; sister, Delores Dugas; and son, Henry "Hank" Jerome Phillips.
