Nolan Joseph Landry, Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nolan Joseph Landry Jr., who left us peacefully on August 14, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on March 15, 1938, in Delcambre, Louisiana, he spent his life surrounded by the love of family and friends, making memories that will last forever.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery. Reverend Buddy Breaux will officiate the services. 

Nolan proudly served in the United States Navy from 1955 until 1974, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. After his military career, he transitioned to working as a bridge operator and diver for many years, but his favorite role was that of a loving father and grandfather.

Nolan delighted in spending his Sundays with family, hosting cookouts that brought everyone together. He was also an avid fisherman, often found by the water, casting lines and sharing stories with those around him.

He is survived by his two sons, Dirk Landry (Fran) of Delcambre and Chance Landry of Lake Charles; one grandson, Jiles Landry of Delcambre; two great grandsons, Micah and Malakai Landry of Delcambre; one sister, Delores L. Richard of Erath; one brother, Connie Landry, Sr. (Donna); and a host of extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jo Landry; one daughter, Mona Lisa Landry; one brother, Haywood Landry ; and his parents, Nolan J. Landry, Sr. and the former Hazel Delcambre.
