Gueydan, La - Funeral services officiated by Reverend Stephen S. Irudayasamy will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 05, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home of Gueydan honoring the life of Paul LeBlanc, 91, who passed away on March 1, 2026, at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky LeBlanc, Jimmy LeBlanc, Brandon Trahan, Shawn Trahan, Jim LeBlanc, and Josh LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be Brennan Trahan and Kedrick Gabrial.
A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Gueydan on Wednesday, March 04, 2026, from 1:30 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM. The visitation will continue Thursday, March 05, 2026, from 8:00 AM until the services at 11:00 AM.
Paul joined the United States Navy in July of 1951 and served until June of 1955 during the Korean Conflict and was later stationed in Japan. He received 4 medals while in service.
After his time in the service his aviation career began. He spent 20 years of ownership of Paul's Vermilion Flyers with locations in Gueydan and Lake Arthur. As an ag pilot he logged more than 45,000 hours of flight time. He was a hardworking provider for his family his entire life. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and fisher. Upon retirement he enjoyed his free time at his fishing camp in Toledo Bend. On Sundays if he wasn't spending time with his family he could be found enjoying his other favorite pastime on slot machines at Coushatta Casino.
He is survived by his three children, Rick (Christine) LeBlanc of New Haven MI, Connie (Rodney) Trahan of Lake Charles, and Jimmy (Rita) LeBlanc of Crowley, LA; 13 grandchildren, Jessica Ashworth, Jolee'(Daudie)LeBlanc, Jake LeBlanc, Michael McGee, Brandon Trahan, Leslie Gabrial, Shawn Trahan, Jim LeBlanc, Colby LeBlanc, Amber Simon, Courtney Leger, Hailey Cormier, and Josh LeBlanc; 28 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie LeBlanc Sr. and Lucille Duhon LeBlanc; his three brothers; and three sisters.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home of Jennings and Lamm Family Care Hospice of Crowley for the great care given to their dad.
