Paul Terrance Papuzynski

ABBEVILLE-A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. Alexander Albert will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 2, 2026, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 300 Pere Megret St., Abbeville, LA 70510, honoring the life of Paul Terrence Papuzynski, 82, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in his home in Abbeville, LA. Paul was born January 27, 1943, in Rahway, NJ, to Paul Francis Papuzynski and Ruth Louise Barrs Papuzynski. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed by the Knights of Columbus at 7:00 PM. The visitation will continue Monday, February 2, 2026, from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM when the procession will depart for the church.

Paul is survived by his five children, Anastasia Renee, Anne Grace, Monica Ruth, John-Paul Jacek, and Catherine Rose; fifteen grandchildren; his sisters, Barbara Lee Marks, and Paula Jean Thomason; and six nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Francis Papuzynski and Ruth Louise Barrs Papuzynski; and his younger brother, William Papuzynski.
