In loving memory of Randy James Hebert, age 62, who passed away on September 3, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. Randy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose simple way of enjoying life and deep love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.

Randy shared 43 years of marriage with his loving wife, Pamela Suire Hebert. Together, they built a life filled with family, memories, laughter, and love. He was a proud father to his three children, Tavis Hebert (Amber), Brandt Hebert, and Malainee LeBlanc (Sean). Nothing brought Randy greater happiness than being a grandfather. His four grandchildren, Cohen, Kasen, Noah, and Hadley, held an especially precious place in his heart. He loved his grandkids dearly, and the memories they made with their grandfather will remain with them for a lifetime.

Randy is also survived by his siblings, Gerald Simon, Mary Salazar, David Primeaux, Henry Paul Primeaux, and Darline Abshire, as well as a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Minos Joseph Hebert, and his mother, Marjorie Istre Hebert.

Randy was a hardworking man who spent more than 12 years as a Master Plumber with Gulf Land Structures in Lafayette. He took pride in his work and in providing for the people he loved. His family extends a heartfelt thank-you to Gulf Land Structures for their kindness and generosity.

Those who knew Randy knew that it did not take much to make him happy. He found joy in the simple things—the things that often become our most treasured memories. He loved to fish and crab, take joy rides, listen to music, sing karaoke, play pool, and spend time outdoors. But more than any hobby or pastime, Randy loved being surrounded by the people he cared about.

He was happiest in the moments that cannot be bought: a good song playing, a fishing line in the water, laughter among family and friends, a ride with nowhere particular to be, and especially time spent with his grandchildren. Randy lived a simple life, but he leaves behind something immeasurable—the love, stories, laughter, and memories of a family who will miss him more than words can express.

His absence will be deeply felt, but Randy's life will continue to be remembered in the stories his family tells, the songs that bring back a memory, the fishing trips that remind them of him, and all the little moments when someone smiles and says, “Daddy would have loved this.”

A memorial service celebrating Randy’s life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville. A rosary and word service, officiated by Deacon William “Bill” Vincent, will begin at 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the life Randy shared with so many.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone who has reached out with prayers, kindness, love, and overwhelming support during this difficult time. Randy may no longer be here for the moments still to come, but the love he gave his family will be part of those moments forever. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who called him husband, Daddy, Pawpaw, brother, family, and friend. May he rest in peace.
