Ray Anthony Prejean, Jr.

ABBEVILLE - A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Ray A. “T-Ray” Prejean, Jr., 38, who passed away on February 2, 2025. Pastor Francis Plaisance will officiate at the funeral service. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemtery at a later date. 

A celebration of life will be held at Vincent Funeral Home – Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 9:30 AM to time of services. 

Ray spent his life in the serene surroundings of Erath, Louisiana, where he developed a profound love for nature, enjoying activities such as hunting, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors. This is where he developed a strong work ethic that led him to a career as a Production Operator in the oilfield industry. 

 He is survived by his father, Ray Prejean, Sr.; sister, Crystal Prejean; grandfather, Wilsie Connor Sr. (Pa Buck); nephew, Logan Bryon, and Shawn Byron and his wife, Lanie; niece, Taylor LaSalle and her husband, William; uncles, Wilsie Connor, Eddie Connor, David Prejean, Michael Prejean, and Scotty Prejean; aunts, Hope Hartly and Rachael Dumond; godmother, Marilyn Stelly; stepbrothers, Blake Mire and Brint Mire; stepmother, Yolanda Broussard.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Connor Viator; grandmothers, Annie Foster and Rosabelle Dumond; grandfather, Arcade Prejean; uncle, Johnny Connor; friend Junior Doucet; and stepfather, John Viator.
