Retired Major Roland E. Duhon

ABBEVILLE – Funeral Services will be held for Retired Major Roland E. Duhon, age 80 on Saturday September 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Vincent Funeral Home 209 S. Saint Charles St. Abbeville, who passed away on Thursday September 11, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV.

Deacon William Vincent will officiate the services. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery 515 Jacquelyn St. Abbeville, LA with Full Military Honors. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Andrew Patton, Mitchell Patton, Cade Boudreaux, Colby Boudreaux, Eddie Boudreaux, Jerrod Duhon and Brady Abshire.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St. on Saturday September 27, 2025 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM with a rosary being at 12:30 PM.

Major Roland “Bud” Duhon was a loving husband to his late wife, a devoted father, and adoring grandfather who spent his life attending to those he loved the most. He truly loved his family including his nieces, nephews, and Godchildren; Dannelle Boudreaux and Brady Abshire. He was known for his humor, infectious laughter, and candor along with his love for gardening and all things nature. As a decorated Officer, he served as a Laboratory Director in the Air Force, followed by a lengthy career in the medical field as a Medical Technologist and Medicaid Analyst.

Major Duhon is survived by his daughter, Sydney Elaine Patton of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren; Cannon Patton; Mitchell Patton and Andrew Patton of Las Vegas, NV; and Cassidy Duhon of Lafayette, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Duhon, Sr.; and Stella Abshire Duhon; his loving wife of twenty three years Claudia “Cathi” Cannon Duhon; his son Marc Edouard Duhon; his brothers Albert “Lloyd” Duhon Jr.; and Ray Allen Duhon.
