ABBEVILLE - Funeral services officiated by Deacon William Vincent will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 08, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, honoring the life of Robert "Mark" Wilkinson. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 8:30 AM until the time of services.

Robert Mark Wilkinson, a beloved husband, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on April 10, 1949, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, Mark dedicated his life to serving others, leading a fulfilling career as a Social Services Director at Consulata Nursing Home. He held a Master's Degree in Christian Education, which fueled his passion for making a difference in the lives of the elderly. Msark’s warm, outgoing personality made him a favorite among residents, families, and staff alike, and his retirement left a notable void in the community he cherished. Known for his soft heart, unintentional sense of humor, and love for sports, particularly the LSU Tigers and Oklahoma Sooners, Mark found joy in simple pleasures, such as fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Mark is survived by his wife of 34 years, Pamela Mhire Wilkinson; two sisters, Barbara W. Rapp and her husband Peter, and Colleen W. Church; two nieces, Liza Rapp and Hannah Church; and nephew, Ethan Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wilkinson and the former Althea Jarchow; and brother-in-law, Steve Church.
