It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Dale Morvant on October 5, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on August 5, 1954, in Abbeville, Louisiana, Ronald was a beloved member of his community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A lifelong resident of Abbeville, he embraced life with a warm smile and an infectious spirit that brought joy to everyone around him.

Ronald cherished time spent with friends and family, often brightening gatherings with his sense of humor and kindness. He had a particular fondness for playing bingo, where he connected with others and created lasting memories. His friendly nature and genuine smile will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.

He is survived by his siblings, Errol Morvant, Cynthia Ardoin, Leon Morvant and his wife, Sharon, Christine M. Frederick, Leo Morvant, Jr., and Katri Morvant; godchildren, Gena Vincent and Aubrey Minjarez; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Kimberly Hardy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Morvant, Sr. and the former Emmarine Broussard; and a sister, Bonnie Morvant.

Ronald leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will always be remembered for the light he brought into the lives of those around him.
