IAbbeville- Scott Joseph Menard, 60, of Abbeville, Louisiana, passed away on October 27, 2026. He was born in Abbeville on October 10, 1966, to Patrick Joseph Menard and Nola Marie Menard. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Henry. Rev. Bret Lee will celebrate the Mass, with Rev. Paul Broussard serving as concelebrant. The church will open at 9:00 AM, and a rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM before the service begins. 

Scott grew up in Henry, Louisiana, and graduated from Henry High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) and built a career as an agent with Woodmen of the World, receiving numerous awards throughout his years of service. On December 30, 1992, he married Mary Lorna Broussard, with whom he shared nearly 34 years of marriage. 

Scott enjoyed traveling, cooking, and entertaining family and friends. He found joy in bringing loved ones together, sharing meals, and making memories. His family's beloved pets also held a special place in his heart. He will be lovingly remembered through the many moments he shared with those closest to him. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Broussard Menard; his sons, Brice Menard and Ethan Menard and his wife, Mackenzie; his grandson, Asher Menard; his parents, Patrick and Nola Menard; his sister, Marla Menard Dyson and her husband, Guy; and his brother, Clay Menard and his wife, Maggie. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Johnie Broussard and his wife, Wanda, Timothy Broussard and his wife, Gwen, Peter Broussard, and Father Paul Broussard; his sisters-in-law, Anne Broussard, Genny Broussard, and Therese Broussard Winch and her husband, Luther; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Menard and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Menard Sr.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Huey Broussard; his brother-in-law, Keith Broussard; and his sister-in-law, Bridget Broussard. 

Scott will be laid to rest at Bancker Cemetery at a later date. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
