Born in Abbeville, Louisiana, on February 27, 1958, Sheila grew up in a close and loving community that shaped the values she carried throughout her life. She took great pride in caring for her home and raising her children. She had a quiet strength and a gentle spirit. Sheila enjoyed the simple things; arts and crafts, listening to music, a great cup of coffee, and finding a good sale. Her creativity was something she loved sharing with others, and many of the things she made throughout the years will remain treasured reminders of her.

Above all else, Sheila loved her family deeply. They were the center of her world, and she made sure the people she loved always knew just how much they meant to her. She was someone you could always turn to for a listening ear, a comforting conversation, or simply a place to feel heard and understood. Her love was shown in the time she gave, the memories she created, and the way she was always there when her family needed her. Shelia leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, creativity, and memories that her family will carry with them always.

Sheila worked for SCP Health for many years, where she was appreciated for her dependable nature and kind presence.

She is survived by her sons and their spouses: John Paul Bares and his wife, Christin; Jonathan Bares and his wife, Kitty; Mark Cavalier Jr.; and Francis Cavalier and his wife, Simone; along with her sister, Gretchen Primeaux.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Taylor Bares, Averie Bares, Rowan Bares, Bentley Cavalier, Alexander Cavalier, Connor Cavalier, Delilah Cavalier, Kendra Adams, and Ethan Adams; and her great‑grandchild, Navy Bares.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Primeaux and Gretchen Barbara Leger Primeaux; her son, Paul Jonathan Cavalier; her brother, Ricky Primeaux; and her grandson, Leo Cavalier.
