Sidonia L. Primeaux

Funeral services officiated by Reverend Stephen S. Irudayasamy will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan honoring the life of Sidonia L. Primeaux, 91, who passed away on December 17, 2025, at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glenn Lavergne, Gavin Lavergne, Troy Maturin, Marcus Abshire, Mitchell Sistrunk, and Mike Sistrunk. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Marceaux and Austin Abshire.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. The visitation will continue Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 8:00 AM until the services at 10:00 AM. 

She is survived by three daughters, Linda P. Abshire (Jimmy) of Kaplan, Earline P. Lavergne (Vernice) of Wright and Tina P. Marceaux (Troy) of Wright; three sisters, Verna Delahossaye, Myrtis Trahan and Beverly Gisclair all of Kaplan; six grandchildren, Cassie Sistrunk, Marcus Abshire, Kimberly Maturin, Glenn Lavergne, Seth Marceaux and Mia Marceaux; seven great grandchildren, Mitchell, Bethany, Austin, Jaida, Chloe, Gavin and Macie; and two great-great grandchildren, Ellie and Bennett. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hillman Primeaux; parents, Eustice Lege and the former Louise Chevilier; and four brothers, Dallas, Joseph, Ernest and Elray Lege.
