A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father Don Bernard will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, July 28, 2025, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Stanley Joseph Hebert Jr, 67, who passed away on July 23, 2025. A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM on Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday, July 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM with burial following at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Cemetery.

He is survived by his spouse of 35 years Sheila Meaux Hebert; his children Noell Hebert, and Riess Hebert; his grandson, Remington Joseph Hebert; his siblings; Lynn Hebert Breaux (Scott), Lori Hebert (Mark Barousse), and Traci Hebert Broussard (Chris); a host of extended family and friends and his loyal hunting dog “Annie”.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents Stanley Joseph Hebert, Sr. and Betty Trahan Hebert.

Stanley’s deep devoted faith was a beacon and driving force in his life. He prayed his rosary daily. In addition to his deep faith, Stanley loved his family fiercely. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for those he loved. Sheila, Noell, Reiss, and Remi meant the world to him. He was their calm in the storms that life sometimes brings.

He was a wonderful and devoted “Pop-Pop” to his grandson Remington Joseph Hebert. He had a lifetime of close friends and extended family that he brought so much joy to, and them equally to him. Stan had a gift of making you laugh and always finding the positive even in the hardest of times. He was our rock. Stan was a Jack of all trades. Stan may not have had all the fix-it answers but in the end he delivered the fix. He was smart and resourceful.

Stanley had a profound connection with nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a special soft side for his hunting dog, Annie. When he wasn’t with his family, working, or being outdoors you could find him playing a good game of cards or cooking a good meal.

Beyond his overflowing personal life, he was an accomplished Pilot of 39 years. He was a certified flight instructor and has mentored many young Pilots emphasizing, sometimes in unconventional ways, the importance of safe flying and always being prepared for anything. Prior to becoming a Pilot Stanley was an accomplished welder.

No one is ever truly ready to say goodbye. As we all mourn the loss of Stan, may we hold our faith close and look at the skies where Stan now flies in the heavens. It is not goodbye but rather see you later.

We love you forever and always Stanley Joseph Hebert, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Tom Wolf, Paul Bourque, Jr., Tay Derouen, Clay Vincent, Marty Perry, Mitch Hebert, and Gary David.

Honorary pallbearer will be Remington Joseph Hebert.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Sheriff's office, First responders, and the community for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
