Sylvia A. Cormier

Kaplan—Sylvia A. Cormier died Saturday, December 23, 2023 at her residence at the age of 77. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her four sons, Lee Cormier and his wife, Eva of Delcambre, Clay Cormier of Kaplan, John Cormier of Kaplan and Joshua Cormier and his wife, Ora of Kaplan; one daughter, Kelly Cormier of Kaplan; 20 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Chris Kelly of Maurice; and two sisters, Wandy Kelly of Monroe and Ann Stevenson of Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Cormier; parents, Jean Promise Kelly and the former Meretha Fusiler; four brothers, Willis, Gene, Stanley and Michael Kelly; and two sisters, Doreatha Turner and Joann Small.
