Thomas "Tommy" Clark

January 2, 1966 — April 29, 2026

Thomas Gerard Clark, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on January 2, 1966, he was the first baby born in Vermilion Parish in 1966. Thomas was a cherished member of his family and community.

A memorial service officiated by Deacon Bryan Istre will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Saturday, May 02, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. 

Thomas was particularly passionate about family, and he loved spending quality time with his loved ones. He enjoyed watching LSU football games, taking family ski trips, and going to the family camp in Kaplan. He also enjoyed beach trips with his family, creating lasting memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew him. 

He is survived by his son, Alex Thomas Clark (Kristi) of Youngsville; his mother Faye Clark of Lafayette; his father Kenneth Clark (Dawn) of Lafayette; one sister, Ferri Ann Clark Fontenot (John) of New Iberia; one brother Brad Clark (Kay) of New Iberia; three grandchildren, Angelle Clark, Caroline Clark and Parker Thomas; one niece, Dr. Taylor Fontenot of New Orleans and two nephews, Kyle and Lane Clark both of New Iberia; his maternal uncle, Mark Meaux (Julie) of Conway, AK; his maternal aunt, Loretta Smith of Crowley; along with his first cousins and their children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lionel and Hilda Meaux; paternal grandmother, Helen L. Clark; paternal grandfather, Feray Clark and a special nephew, Nicholas James Clark.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ochsner of New Orleans, Ochsner Lafayette General, Hospice of Acadiana, and The Calcutta House for their excellent care given to Tommy.He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
