ABBEVILLE — Thomas Clement LeBlanc, a cherished member of the Abbeville community, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on March 5, 1947, in Abbeville, LA, Thomas was a lifelong resident who devoted his professional career to the oilfield industry as a consultant. 

He will be laid to rest alongside his wife and son at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery. 

He is survived by his three grandchildren, Lainey Renee LeBlanc of Florida, Johnny Dean LeBlanc of Florida, and Tanner Hill of Texas; and his two sisters, Carolyn Sue LeBlanc and Anita Louise Matte. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernest Dean Ortolon LeBlanc; his son, George Ernest LeBlanc; and his parents, Nolan LeBlanc and the former Virgie Durke.
