Warren was born in Opelousas, La to Clabert and Elva Whaley. Over the course of 50 years, he built a successful career in oilfield sales, earning the respect of colleagues and customers alike through his dedication, work ethic, and gift for connecting with people.

Beyond his career, Warren Lee Whaley truly lived life to the fullest. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, and enjoying nature. He was also an exceptional cook and took great pride in bringing people together around a meal - he was always that one at the grill or in the kitchen, making sure everyone was well fed.

He had a larger-than-life personality and loved entertaining. Being surrounded by friends and family brought him his greatest joy, and he had a natural ability to make any gathering memorable. He never met a stranger and was the happiest when he was in the center of it all, sharing stories, laughter, and good times.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Landry Whaley of 35 years; two children, Warren Lee Whaley, Jr. (Mary Beth), and Elizabeth Whaley LeBlanc (Robert); four stepchildren, Coby Richard (Wendy), Brett Richard (Tiffany), Denee' Richard Hebert (Marcus), and Maghon Richard Coleman (Troy); two grandchildren, Micheal LeBlanc and Victoria Whaley; seven step-grandchildren, Madelyn Richard, Liam Richard, Gabe Coleman, Avery Coleman, Kendyl Hebert, Jeighlee Richard, and Collin Richard; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Veronica "Vicky" Hebert of Arnaudville; his father, Clabert Whaley of Port Barre; mother, Elva Wyble Whaley of Port Barre; his brother, Roy Whaley Sr. of Port Barre; his daughter-in-law, Paula Richard Whaley of Port Barre; and his grandson, Jonathon Whaley of Port Barre.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

All funeral arrangements are being conducted by Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan (337) 643-7276.
