It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wesley Jean Bourque, lovingly known as “Bozo”, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born on May 2, 1961, Wesley lived a life defined by hard work, positivity, and love. For 41 wonderful years, he shared an unbreakable bond with his beloved wife, Pamela Rose Bourque. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, warmth, and devotion to family.
Wesley never met a stranger—he could talk to anyone and always left them smiling. Known for his kind heart, great sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need, Wesley was truly one of a kind. His work ethic and optimism inspired everyone who knew him.
Above all, his greatest joy came from his family. He was a proud father to Kayla Renee’ Bourque Gaspard and Kyle Jordan Bourque, and a loving father-in-law to Toby Louis Gaspard and Sasha Som. His heart belonged to his grandsons—Aiden Louis Gaspard, Alex Jean Gaspard, Cullen Jordan Bourque, and Beckham Malone Bourque—who were the light of his life. Wesley made sure to be there for every baseball and basketball game, cheering them on with endless love and pride.
Wesley is preceded in death by his father, Jean Bourque; his mother, Annie Abshire; his sister, Gleada Primeaux; and his brother, Calise Bourque.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Rose Bourque; his daughter, Kayla Renee’ Bourque Gaspard (and husband Toby Louis Gaspard); his son, Kyle Jordan Bourque (and wife Sasha Som); his cherished grandsons, Aiden, Alex, Cullen, and Beckham; and his niece, Alicia Gaspard.
He is also survived by four sisters—Lilly Gaspard, Rachel Guidry, Peggy Kern, and Barbara Abshire—and three brothers—Kenneth Abshire, John Bourque, and Daniel Bourque.
Wesley’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and generosity. His spirit lives on through the countless lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the family he so deeply loved. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his love will remain in our hearts forever.
Forever remembered. Forever loved. Forever our Bozo.
