A graveside service officiated by Deacon Bryan Istre will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Badon Cemetery honoring the life of Winfred Earl Simon, 90, who passed away on April 10, 2026 at his residence.
He is survived by his son, Dwayne Earl Simon and his wife, Catherine of Kaplan; his daughter, Deborah Simon Fritz of Abbeville; six grandchildren, Michael Uriegas, Pamela Burgett, Joshua Simon, Joey Simon, Matthew Fritz, and Jacob Simon; and 10 great grandchildren, Hunter, Michael Jr., Aiden, Jupiter, Ryker, Grayson, Myla, Ainslynn, Weston, and Feyra.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Simon; two great grandchildren, Journey Lynn and Jeremy Uriegas; one brother, Joseph Dalton Simon, Jr.; one sister, Peggy Ann Simon Broussard; and his parents, Joseph Dalton Simon, Sr. and the former Noella Badon.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff at Lamm Hospice, especially Dr. Robert Aertker and Carmichael's Pharmacy.
All funeral arrangements are being conducted by Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan (337) 643-7276.
