Zoe "Zula" Touchet Perry, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, at Naomi Heights Nursing Facility in Alexandria, LA. She was born on January 5, 1944, in Cow Island, LA, to Semar and Alix (Leblanc) Touchet.

Zula was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. Prior to retiring, she worked as a waitress at King's Truck Stop Jambalaya Cafe in Port Barre for 20 years, where she was known for her friendly smile and caring nature.

She is survived by her son, James Perry and his wife, Eileen of Frilot Cove, LA; two daughters, Kayla Johnson and her husband, Otis of Basile, LA and Tricia Deville and her husband, Steve of Alexandria, LA; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Shirley Thibodeaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Marie Abshire, Phillip (Roy) Touchet, and Arville Touchet and her great-grandson, Maverick Elkins.

A graveside service officiated by Deacon Bryan Istre will be held on December 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery in Kaplan, LA. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Zula's life and legacy.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
